How do I convince my parents to let me dye my hair?

I'm sixteen years old and I have dark brown hair and I want to get unnatural coloured streaks. I wanted blue before but my mom said no because she couldn't find a place that did it. I didn't want red because I though it was overdone so I just got blonde. Now I changed my mind and want the red colour but my mom won't let me. The thing is that my mom got her hair dyed red and she says she can do whatever she wants with her hair.
