Does anyone find rappers obsession with Scarface a little hilarious?

I love Scarface, its one of my favorite films of all time, I think its really good and very entertaining and I have a poster of it hanging in my room. But I find it quite amusing that so many rappers take a life lesson out of it. Everything in the movie is so over-the-top from the violence, to the music, to the cussing, to be so 80's. Even Al Pacino's Cuban accent was so overdone. When Oliver Stone wrote the script he named the character after Joe Montana, wow, he put alot of thought into that. When Pacino was doing this movie was he really thinking in the back of his mind "I could be doing something very deep right now".Its a complete testosterone film meant to get guys pumped and nothing more. I find it so hilarious that rappers find it so profound. I still love it though. and I love Pacino.
