Ideas redecorating bedroom? (I'm a teenage girl)?

i want to re-do my room but I'm having trouble thinking of what i want to do. i'm not girly girl or punk, i'm kinda in the middle. i want something fun and cute with nice colors, nothing too bright and nothing extremely colorful. i don't mind patterns and prints as long as it's not overdone and tacky. something sophisticated but still looks like a teenager's room and not a 30's year old room. my dad doesn't want me to paint my wall a crazy color like orange or neon green. he wants something more natural so i was thinking of maybe a earthy/bohemian theme? any thoughts about that? i have all white furniture so i was thinking of painting them a different color so i wouldn't have to buy a whole new bedroom set. by the way where can i get some cool but inexpensive decor? PLZ HELP! any advice, tips, opinions, comments, ideas would be greatly appreciated. also if possible, put links with pics or websites! thanks :D
