Car Subwoofers - 1998 Toyota Rav4?

I have a 1998 Toyota Rav4 with the stock stereo and speakers, etc... I am currently looking to get some sort of subwoofer(s) to be installed. What do I need to do this? What do you recommend me doing? How much is it on average?
